The Gambero Rosso/Slowfood Guide of Wines constitutes the most complete independent overview of top-quality Italian winemakers, highly appreciated by experts and wine lovers. In a country with more than 3,800 wines and 2,000 grapes varieties the selection of the finest is indeed a demanding task.
Repeating its previous years’s success, the Primosic Family, producers of Palmadina Pinot Gris, has been listed again and SUR Wines proudly introduces this fine wine to its clientele.
Bunch description: small in size, of cylindrical shape with a strongly marked wing, the bunch is very compact and carries light-skin, oval grapes of grey-violet colour.
Vinification: After the grapes are harvested by hand, the vinification proceeds with a brief contact of the must with the dregs for about four hours at 6C; gentle pressing and cold washing of the must.
Fermented at a controlled temperature of about 16-18C in stainless steel tanks.
The wine: straw-yellow colour with hints of copper in the reflections. This a soft, rich and elegant wine which portraits a light fruity palate with a vein of apple flavour
Matching: it goes well with ham, fresh cheese, main courses like risotto, soups and fresh-water fish, even fried.
