Founded in 1940, La Riojana is a Cooperative winery in the city of Chilecito, producing approximately 45 million litres of white and red wines.

The city itself lies in a valley at 1100m above sea level between Mt Famatina (6500m) and Velazco Massif (4500m) in the agriculturally rich Province of La Rioja, Argentina

The cooperative consists of over 600 associate members and employs a large workforce from Chilecito and surrounding villages.

The fruit is sourced from several vineyards and farms ranging from small to large, totalling in excess of 60 million kilograms of top-quality wine grapes.

La Riojana is an important and influential wine producer and exporter in Argentina.

With its large domestic market and rapidly expanding export markets, La Riojana wines are now available in USA, Canada, Brazil, England, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, Poland and New Zealand.
