"CHATEAU FERRAND"
D.O. POMEROL

PRODUCER: H. GASPAROUX ET FILS

Bordeaux is the largest source of quality wines in the world.

Sandwiched between the regions of Cognac and Armagnac, Bordeaux is the largest departement in France and the wine it produces generates more revenue than any other region.

Passing through Pomerol wich is small and rural, with dilapidated farmhouses at every turn, few true chateaux and no really splendid ones, the traveller can not fail to wonder how this tiny and uninspiring area can produce these magnificent wines whose softness makes them popular all over the world.

The prosperity of recent years has enabled these properties to indulge in a bit more, but Pomerol essentially remains an area with an air of obscurity. Even Chateau Petrus, the greatest growth of Pomerol and probably the most expensive wine in the world, is nothing more than a simple farmhouse.

Location: is a small area on the western extremity of the St Emilion district, just north of Libourne.

Chateau Ferrand is a full-bodied, oaky wine, powerfully aromatic with notes of spicy-cassis flavour dominated by creamy-toffee oak. Classic, complex and complete.
