"CHATEAU LABADIE"
MEDOC CRU BOURGEOIS
GOLD MEDAL PARIS 2000
PRODUCER: G.F.A. BIBEY

Bordeaux is the largest source of quality wines in the world.

Its flat countryside is attractive, if not spectacular. However, without the lush vineyards and the illustrious names of the great chateaus, there would be little to thrill the traveller.

Sandwiched between the regions of Cognac and Armagnac, Bordeaux is the largest departement in France and the wine it produces generates more revenue than any other region.

The Medoc takes its name from the Latin ‘medio aquae’ (between the waters) referring to the Gironde and the Atlantic. It is a long, thin strip of prized wines, located on the left bank of the Gironde estuary, stretching from Bordeuax to Soulac.

Aspect: undulating hillsides with knolls and gentle slopes. The best vineyards “can see the river” and virtually all areas of the Haut-Medoc gradually slope from the watershed to the Gironde.

Only red wines have the right to the Medoc appellation

Ch Labadie Medoc Cru Bougeois is a dry, medium-bodied wine, deep-coloured, with a firm structure and a silky finish.

This vintage was awarded Gold Medal at Concours General Agricole Paris 2000
