Canepa vineyards are located in the Maipo and Colchagua Valleys. These two regions are widely renown as among the world’s most exciting winegrowing areas and are responsible for Chile’s excellent reputation as a wine producing country. In total, the Canepa winery, established in the mid 30’s by Jose Canepa Vaccarezza, owns 1,000 hectares of land that are constantly being developed. Until now, more that 400 hectares of vineyards are in full production.

Tasting notes: It is a pale gold wine with green hues. The aroma offers intense white flowers and honeysuckle, with hints of apricot nectar and Orange peel. The palate is rich, ripe and very long, with citrus and tropical fruit flavours. This Viognier has its typical Varietal texture - waxy, rich and luscious.

Ageing potential: Great drinking young and with careful cellaring, this wine will continue to exhibit the typical Viognier aromas and textures for at least 2 years.

Food pairing: Viognier is a great wine to pair with Asian food, particularly anything that has fresh crab, e.g. Chilean Centolla (“King Crab”) of the Strait of Magellan or the majestic Easter Island Lobster.
