“CANEPA” ZINFANDEL

Canepa vineyards are located in the Maipo and Colchagua Valleys. These two regions are widely renown as among the world’s most exciting winegrowing areas and are responsible for Chile’s excellent reputation as a wine producing country. In total, the Canepa winery, established in the mid 30’s by Jose Canepa Vaccarezza, owns 1,000 hectares of land that are constantly being developed. Until now, more that 400 hectares of vineyards are in full production.

Vinification: Partially crushed grapes were fermented separately with selected yeasts at temperatures between 25- 28°C with daily pump overs. The wine was clarified with albumin, cold stabilized and filtered through diatomeas earth and cellulose pads before bottling.

Tasting notes: this is an exotic Zinfandel which bursts with aromas of currants, spices, black berries and a touch of oak.

The palate is fresh and lively with good fruit concentration. The alcohol level and tannins provide a perfect counterpoint to the rich palate and support the wine’s overall balance.
