This small `Appellation d’’`Origine’` divided by the river Duero, `the river of wine`, has consolidated its status as the standard bearer of the most promising and interesting wines of the country. The grape that gives these wines their character, the Tinta de Toro, is highly considered by eonologists and gourmets alike.

With more than 20 years of experience producing quality wines in the Rioja Alavesa district, Bodegas Sobreno has been baptised by international critics as the `new star of the Duero`.

Finca Sobreno Roble is a dry red wine made from 100% Tinta de Toro (Tempranillo) grapes from the Toro denomination; aged 4 months in American oak barrels. Its colour is dark cherry red with a purple tint, dense and thick. The nose shows plums/blackberries along with flowers, minty, eucalyptus, balsamic, licorice, clove an vanilla. Thick rich ripe fruit on the palate, full-bodied with well-integrated tannins and good length.
