“CHATEAU ROSE CANTEGRIT”
Roberto Parker Jr: No other wine regions of Bordeaux have made as much progress as the Cru Bourgeois of the Medoc, Listrac and Moulis during the last 20 years.
Moulis is, for me, the best of the lesser-known Bordeaux appellations.
Perhaps this is because so many talented proprietors extract the highest quality possibly from this small appellation of just over 1,420 acres.
The wines from Moulis are among the longest lived of Bordeaux. In top vintages they are strikingly rich, fullbodied and powerful.
Producer: S.A.R.L. Des Grands Crus (12 Ha)
Cepages: 57% Merlot 41% Cabernet Sauvignon 2% Petit Verdot
This is a dense, opaque, dark ruby wine with a slight amber edge.
In the glass it reveals scent of grilled nuts, minerals, licorice and ripe blackcurrants.
In the mouth is full bodied and powerful with noticeable tannins but not astringent or green.
