                 DOMAINE CHANDEYSSON
                    GRENACHE - SYRAH
                    PRODUCER: VIGNOBLES DU PELOUX
                    AC COTES DU RHONE
The Rhone is one of France’s main arteries, dividing departements, fostering trade and commerce, and nurturing agriculture. The Romans used it on their way north.
Most classical historians consider that it was on the Cotes du Rhone that vines were first planted in France.
Different grape varieties are given predominance according to the prevailing soil. The Rhone in fact, provides virtually every type of wine that one could want, from deep, long-lived reds, to more light, quaffing versions, luscious dessert wines and sparklings.
In 1942, Paul Du Peloux Courthezon, a historical village at the heart of the Avignon region, and launched the family business.
The major expansion began in 1990 when export activities commenced, followed by the purchases of `Domaine Mas de Beaulieu` (Pont du Gard) in 1999 and `Cave du Pont de Crillon` (Courthezon) in 2001.
Domaine Chandeysson was made using traditional Rhone grapes with a majority of Grenache and Syrah. This is a delightfully succulent, medium-bodied red wine with an aromatic bouquet.
It is delicious served on its own or with a wide range of savoury dishes such as grilled or barbecued meats.
